Winter Clothing

Today we continued to talk about all the winter clothing we need to wear when we go outside to play in winter.  We reread one of our favorite stories about Froggy!  This book helped remind children that frogs really hibernate in winter, as well as reviewed all the different clothing we need to wear in winter.  The children also helped read another story about the clothing we wear outside in winter.

Then we went to the tables and made our own books about clothing we wear in winter.  When we were done, each child got to sit down alone with either Miss McCabe or Mrs. DeKeyser to read the book to us!  While reading, we practiced pointing to each word as we said it.  See if your child can read his/her book to you tonight!

Then we played!  The children have especially been enjoying playing an alphabet memory game during this time!

In the morning session, we had a special birthday celebration during snack!

After snack, we did a lot of dancing to get out our wiggles!  We had a lot of wiggles today!  Then we read some silly winter clothing stories that made us laugh a lot!

We also did the counting jar again today!  Counting is so much fun!

Next week we will spend some time learning about hibernation and animals that hibernate!
