Next we learned the song "Polar" to the tune of "Bingo." It was fun clapping as Miss McCabe removed each letter.
We reviewed the letter Jj and made jello together! The children are excited for Thursday when they can cut out the jello and eat it for snack!
Then we visited one center - polar bear letter fishing, a polar bear board game, or a polar bear number sequencing puzzle. See yesterday's post for more details!
Then we played in the classroom.
After a delicious snack, we each got a bag of gummy bears. We sorted the gummy bears by color and recorded how many of each color there were on the graph. Then we could choose to eat them at school or take them home to eat.
Afterwards, we went to the carpet. Miss McCabe had a special activity planned for us! Since we enjoyed measuring our teddy bears with blocks last week, she thought everyone would enjoy doing some more measuring. Every child got a bag of fish. We could choose to measure different sized polar bears or other objects in the classroom. It was fun counting how many fish tall different objects were! Some objects were so big that we had to use Miss McCabe's huge fish for measuring! :)
Tomorrow there will be a substitute teacher in the classroom again. I will miss everyone, but know that they will use their good listening ears and manners for the substitute teacher!
Have a great evening! :)
