Bear Hunt

Today we had so much fun reading the story We're Going on a Bear Hunt.  You can listen to the author telling the story by clicking below!

Then we learned a bear hunt song.  It was a little like "The Spooky Walk" we learned in October.  We compared the song to the story and found that there were some differences between the two.

You can hear a version of a bear hunt song by clicking below!

We went on our own hunt in the classroom to look for the letter Bb.  It was a little tricky, but fun!

Then we visited a center - the bear hunt letter game, the bear board game, or making bear Bb's.

Afterwards we played.  In the morning, several children chose to do puzzles.  The bear hunt letter game was also chosen to be played during this time by some children.  Today some children were in the bear cave and they were starting to get a little loud so Mrs. DeKeyser reminded them that the bears were hibernating.  They responded to her that they were pretending it is spring so the bears can be awake!  It is good to know they get the concept! :)

We continued to work on our bear journals.

After snack, we read a story called Don't Wake Up the Bear!  Ask your child to tell you about what happens in the story.

We also learned another version of the bear hunt song and did the counting jar.  We counted lollipops in the morning and paperclips in the afternoon.  Then it was time to go outside and play!

Tomorrow there will be a substitute teacher in the classroom.  I reminded the children to use their good manners for the substitute tomorrow.

Have a good evening!
