Giraffes

Today we learned all about giraffes.  The children could relate to giraffes after their experience of feeding a giraffe on our zoo field trip!  We read a non-fiction story that helped us learn some more interesting facts about giraffes.

For a project, the children made a giraffe positional book.  See if your child can read it with you at home tonight!

We also had a visit from the EMS.  They let us go inside the ambulance.  We got to ask questions about things we saw inside.  They also showed us some ways they help to take care of people who are hurt.  We even got to listen to our heartbeat!

The morning session also reviewed numbers and letters while playing giraffe spot bingo.

The afternoon session went out to work in the school garden.  They got to plant onions!  The morning session will get to go out to the garden on Thursday.

There will be a substitute teacher in the classroom again tomorrow while I finish up assessments.  Tomorrow is also the FFA Farm Animal day!  The children will get to see many farm animals tomorrow!

Have a great evening! :)
