Today we read a silly story called Miss Moo Goes to the Zoo. In the story, Miss Moo is tired of living on the farm. She ends up at the zoo and meets many animals. The animals she meets along the way are not very friendly when she asks if she can live with them. Finally she discovers the perfect place to live - at the petting zoo!
Today we sorted animals by whether they live at the zoo or on the farm.
The FFA had some special farm animals that we got to visit outside today too. It rained in the afternoon so unfortunately the afternoon session was not able to go. There were horses, cows, goats, sheep, chickens, pigeons, dogs, cats, and pigs!
To end the day, the children read the story What Do You Do With a Tail Like This?, which helped us to explore the many amazing things animals can do with their ears, eyes, mouths, noses, feet, and tails.
Remember to wear walking shoes and old clothing tomorrow! It also wouldn't hurt to put bug spray on and bring a jacket to school. We are planning on going on a walk in the school forest tomorrow (weather-permitting). The morning session will also get a turn to help plant some vegetables in the school garden tomorrow.
Have a great evening! :)
