Happy Monday! Today we got to practice our holiday songs in the auditorium! It was very exciting!
When we got back to the classroom, we worked on making chains to count the days until Christmas! Everyone got to practice their counting skills and several children also chose to make patterns. Each night, your child can take off one loop. When only the star is left, it should be Christmas!
We ate a delicious snack and learned about our new letter Ww. With all the snow yesterday, today was the perfect time to talk about Ww because winter and white are good words that start with Ww! We practiced making the /w/ sound while tracing over a woolly white w.
Of course we had to also read some books with the letter Ww! Mrs. Wishy-Washy was a silly rhyming story that everyone enjoyed!
Tomorrow is the BIG DAY! Please try to make sure your child gets a good night sleep tonight! There were a lot of tired children at school today!
Remember that your child should arrive in the elementary media center no later than 6 p.m. If you wish to help with set-up, we would like volunteers to arrive by 5:15 p.m. to help with preparations in the cafeteria.
I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night!
