Elf Visitor!

Today is our BIG DAY that we have been looking forward to for a LONG time!  When we arrived in our classroom, we discovered that Santa sent us a special elf!  He was hanging upside down!  What a silly elf!

Santa left us a note explaining that the elf visits him each night to report on how the children were at school.  We also read a story explaining what the elf's job is when he is at school.  Did you know that if we touch the elf, he will lose his magic and cannot make it back to the North Pole?  We were very careful not to touch him today!

We brainstormed a list of possible names for our elf and came up with a long list!  Then we voted.  In the morning, the winner was Elfy so that is what we will call our elf in the morning class.  The afternoon class voted on the name Rudolph.  Our elf is so lucky to have 2 names! :)

Our project was to let Santa know what we would like for Christmas.  We were hoping that Elfy/Rudolph would let Santa know for us!  Everyone enjoyed cutting pictures out from magazines for their wish lists, coloring clip art pictures, or even drawing pictures of what they would like!

We played too.  Santa's workshop was very popular.  The children enjoyed giving gifts to one another!

We held one last rehearsal in the auditorium.

Then we played outside!

I look forward to seeing everyone with their BIG smiles tonight!  Remember that all 4K students should arrive no later than 6 p.m.!  See you tonight! :)

Also please remember that the snowman family projects are due tomorrow!  Children are also invited to wear Packer apparel to school tomorrow!
