We read a silly story that made us laugh. In the story, a girl tries to make a plant grow by using her words and saying, "Grow, flower, grow!" When that did not make the flower grow, she tried feeding it people food, such as spaghetti, pizza, and ice cream. The plant still did not grow. The girl became upset and threw the plant outside. While outside, the plant got sunlight, rain, and air. Guess what happened when the girl peeked outside?! The plant grew into a beautiful flower!
Next we visited centers - making name flowers, watercolor painting rainbow Rr's, or putting together and labeling the parts of a flower.
Afterwards we played. The flower shop was still the most populated area. Miss McCabe received many bouquets of flowers from her friends today! How kind! :)
During playtime this week the children can also choose to fingerpaint giant tulips. Silly Miss McCabe forgot to put in fingerpainting pictures from yesterday so the pictures of fingerpainting below are from both yesterday and today.
After snack, we made a booklet about some of the needs of a flower. See if your child can read it to you at home tonight!
Have a great evening! :)
